We are hosting a work party at the Stevens property on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, from 9 a.m. until 11 or 12. We’re hoping some of you who have stayed in town may enjoy a little fun work on your day off. Our Land Stewardship Coordinator Tamsin will also be offering a bird walk on the property and possibly nearby Norwich Lake earlier that morning, starting at 7:30.
If you’re joining us to do trail work, please bring:
- clippers, loppers, or a handsaw
- a chainsaw if you have one
- gloves if you need them
- sturdy shoes, clothes that can get dirty
- water, bug repellent, snacks, etc.
- binoculars (if you are joining for the bird walk)
We maintain almost 4 miles of trails on the Stevens property, and though the majority of the work is trail clearing and near the trail entrance, we hope one or two volunteers will be willing to walk the entire trail (not with a chainsaw!).
Please RSVP to Tamsin at email@example.com if you plan to join us for trail work or for birding. The rain date for this workday will be Saturday June 3rd.
